It was gym class, playing touch football. Well, I should clarify, I was not any good at sports, so bad if fact that nobody covered me on the field. There I was standing alone in the end zone, when Tom spotted me. Tom threw the ball to me. It was an eternity for me watching the ball get ever closer. I stretched out me arms, scared that I might drop the ball. The ball hit me right in the chest and I held on to it. TOUCHDOWN!

Tom and I were very good friends in High School but lost touch when I went to college at Miami ( FL ) and Tom to Penn State. He was an outstanding athlete but more importantly a great person. As I recall, he played Quarterback and Fullback for the football team and third base on the baseball team. He was known as a team player in sports and showed the same traits as a friend.
