Joe DeLaurentis..... The target of our Spanish teacher because his answers, in Spanish, were always funny....  The man with perfect aim when throwing a "lifesaver" into the fan while Mr. Saultarelli  (SP in the words of Miss Weiser) (Oh well, don't have to worry about that any more) monitored the lunchroom study hall and listened to Joe exclaim "Hey...Who did that?!"  Sorry to hear of his situation.  A loss to society.

Not sure, but I think we called him "Little Joe"?   He always left you with a smile on your face...and happy to know him.

Yes, "Little Joe" is remembered. Dick often spoke about Joe's antics in the lunch
room. He could always make Dick laugh. Frauke Saalmann Vogel

We were class mates at Chatham Park. My ambition was to run as fast as Joe. I have good memories of Joe.

Geez, I don't remember having classes with Joe, but I absolutely remember him, and felt a great sadness when i saw his picture appear among these select...He was, as i remember him, a nice boy with a very infectious smille...

i keep seeing my classmates as they were, and expect them to remain 17 or 18 forever...well, they will in my mind anyway--

As each of you cross that threshold into "70" know that it only hurts for a little while (okay, that's a lie...but we need all the encouragement we can get, no?)
