2020-09-27T11:41:08-04:00Memories Power PointFordinand
Hi - Does anyone have pictures of Fordinand? Our Model A Ford school mascot.

I was Student Council committee chairman for it during my Junior and Senior years. I spent the summer working on it to get it in driving condition and I redid the interior. Bob Manno and I enjoyed driving it around and taking it to games and school events. Unfortunately, I never took any pictures of it. So, if anyone has anything better than the grainy one above, please post them. Or, if there is a large version of the one above, I'd like to get that too.

Thanks,

2015-03-09T19:29:55-04:00FordinandWay Back When
Things like this float around the internet every so often and in one form or another. My guess is the average ‘oldster’ doesn’t really bother to show/send this to the ‘youngsters’ – mainly because today’s youth just “wouldn’t give a hoot” (sorry, had to use an expression from the past).

So, all we can do is let it open the drawers of our cranial file cabinet where we store those memories of our distant past. When I do, it recalls a much simpler life (such as our high school days) when the world hadn’t yet been critically altered to accommodate folks who can’t handle God, work, family, patriotism or life without mind altering drugs.

Thanks to whomever (Bill King?) took and posted the many nice reunion pics on the HHS website. For those of us who couldn't attend, they were the next best thing to being there. Chuck Bender

I ditto the BIG BIG Thanks for a wonderful reunion. I have raved to local friends about all the "happenings" that occured thanks to the detailed planning of a great committee. Really .... golf balls printed with HHS 50th Reunion!!!! No biggie that the tournament didn't happen.

I loved the visit to HHS and how impressive to see all the programs that are offered and just a nice bunch of students .... even if they did gasp when we were introduced as the class of 1962.

THANKS for a fun time and lots of new memories.
